Chiropractic and Osteopathy

Chiropractic and Osteopathy work on the principle that good spinal alignment leads to better health and less pain.  A way of keeping healthy and being at your best; for improved posture, better sports performance, improved flexibility, higher resistance to disease, a more comfortable pregnancy for mum and baby, a decrease in stress levels and more energy.

Our Osteopaths and Chiropractors work with people who are suffering with aching muscles or joints and/or nerve pain. They will assess the entire body but focus their adjustments on specific areas relating to their findings and your symptoms. They diagnose conditions that may be causing symptoms and work together with their clients to give hands-on care and rehabilitation exercises. Osteopathy and Chiropractic care has been proven to help a variety of joint, nerve, ligament or muscle issues.

What to expect

On your first visit you will be welcomed by a County Chiropractic Clinic Assistant and asked to fill out a health history form. You will receive an in-depth consultation and assessment with the Chiropractor or Osteopath who will evaluate you and recommend a suitable care plan taking into consideration your current health, lifestyle and commitments. If necessary, they sometimes recommend you see another health care professional.

Chiropractic and Osteopathy isn’t just for adults; children can also be checked at County Chiropractic.  Childbirth, learning to crawl and walk, carrying heavy rucksacks and playing sports are just some of the ways your child could be experiencing spinal or nervous system distress.  Having your child checked is important for their future development.

Acupuncture is a therapy based on the principles of Chinese Medicine and has been used for over 2000 years.  Chinese medical theory suggests that there are 12 channels, otherwise known as meridians, running throughout the body, each connecting to different organs. Throughout these meridians runs the body’s vital energy; Qi (pronounced ‘chi’). When Qi becomes blocked or stagnant within these meridians, disharmony and illness occurs.

Specific acupuncture points situated along these meridians are stimulated by the insertion of fine needles into the skin and tissues. The aim is to bring the body back into harmony, by allowing the Qi to run smoothly through the channels again.  Some say that acupuncture stimulates the body’s ability to heal itself.

Our Acupuncturist works holistically to strengthen the connection between a client’s emotional and physical health. Acupuncture has been known to help the following ailments; anxiety and depression, headaches and migraines, symptoms of overactive bladder, lower back pain, neck pain, fertility and insomnia.

Floatation Therapy

Floatation Therapy, otherwise known as floating, involves relaxing in a highly concentrated Epsom salt solution.  This unique environment enables you to lay back and float effortlessly on the surface of the water. Being completely free from the forces of gravity, every single muscle in the body is allowed to totally relax without the usual strain of gravity on the body’s postural alignment.

At County Chiropractic we often recommend you have Floatation Therapy to compliment your Chiropractic, Osteopathy or Massage Therapy treatments.

For more information please see our Floatation Therapy website.
